In the ongoing year, GIWEP has worked on numerous projects in the subject of energy efficiency of industrial furnaces. The projects took us to different reheating and heat treatment furnaces. They have been triggered by the heavily rising prices for energy as well as by the intensified efforts towards a CO2-neutral production. The project topics were tailored to the specific plant and comprised tasks like:
- continuous registration and evaluation of the energy efficiency of the furnace plant
- optimization of the burner and control equipment
- optimized utilization of waste heat
- optimization of heating process control
- application of alternative fuels and heating technologies
