GIWEP's References for Industrial Furnaces

GIWEP can look back on more than 20 years of engineering services and plant installations for industrial furnaces and in over 50 factories in the steel and metal industry. The following plants were fitted with a GIWEP guidance system or process control system:

• Rotary hearth, walking beam, walking hearth, and pusher furnaces for heating and thermal treatment
• Hood, box, and continuous annealing plants
• Electric arc and ladle furnaces in steel works and foundries
• Melting furnaces and strand-casting equipment for non-ferrous metals
• Laminar cooling lines for non-ferrous metals
• Stretch-reducing mills
• Mid-frequency crucible furnaces in foundries
• Cupola furnace melting plants.

Objective of these projects was the amelioration of engery efficiency and optimization of industrial furnaces and operation of thermal processing plants.
