GIWEP's Services

GIWEP has been performing engineering services for processes and plants in the steel, foundry, non-ferrous metal, and forging industry for over 20 years, with the aim of introducing intelligent control systems and thus of raising energy efficiency in the long term.

GIWEP main services include:

• Dimensioning
• Analysis of efficiency, and if necessary
• Modernisation of thermal-metallurgical plants and their components in respect of energy consumption.

In addition, GIWEP also offers:

• Planning and realisation of process control systems, including interfaces
• Planning and realisation of process metrology and analysis engineering
• Programming of application-specific software for process sequences
• Training and instruction of staff on site, as well as
• Commissioning, maintenance and service.

All GIWEP systems are customised and adjusted to conventional measurement and control systems with modern programmable logic controls (PLC) as well as data transmission and management systems. The GIWEP software is implemented using Microsoft Visual C++, Java, C Sharp or SQL Oracle databases. This ensures excellent flexibility in all types of application, as well as a high level of acceptance amongst plant operators and maintenance personnel.
